Places to get belly dance music   Pe-Ko Records/Hollywood Music Center - Extensive selection of music. Specializing in new releases in "world" and traditional music from the middle east.   CD Baby - Big selection of smaller labels and independent artists.  Search on "world" or "middle eastern".  Most CDs can be sampled on the site and many titles available as MP3 downloads.   Amazon  - Lots of CDs and MP3s   iTunes - Lots of MP3s available.   Radio Bastet - Podcasts of "Vintage" belly dance music.  I love this stuff!

Places to get belly dance costuming   Shimmy Shimmy - Good selection and service.   The Dancing Gypsy - Store in Spencer, MA offering new and used costuming & jewelry.  Ask for Dina - the dancing gypsy!   Designs by J - Belly dance and "period" costuming - right in Lunenberg, MA.  Right in our own backyard!   Alimah's Closet - Newly located at Ancient Art Studios, 590 Berkley St. Berkley, MA (near Taunton, MA). Also shop on-line.   MoonDance  - Large website w loads of selection.  Mostly inexpensive (and not high quality), but great for the beginner on a budget!  Large selection of sizes including children's and women's "plus" sizes.   Great Eastern Trading Company  - Store in Cambridge, MA.  Cool & funky selection of vintage clothing, jewelry and belly dance attire.   King of the Nile - my favorite source for coined hip sashes. (link coming soon...) Belly Dance tops I like   Khrishna.com - my favorite source for inexpensive stretch choli tops in just about every color you could want.   Sharif Wear - Cute "gypsy' tie tops in many colors and fabrics.   L Rose Designs - Large selection of styles and fabrics.  All are made to order - you choose the neckline and sleeve type.  Excellent quality.  (I have found the sizes to run a little small, so suggest ordering a size larger)   And don't forget to check Marshall's, TJ Maxx, thrift stores and yard sales for items like elastic waist skirts, fringed sashes, and "shrug" tops - all great for fleshing out your costuming supplies!
